ABOUT THE COLLEGE




Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSNCE), founded by Padma Bhushan Dr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies, stands out as a premier center of higher learning with a mission of pursuing excellence in education and research. The institution, with its diverse and dynamic community of students offers a distinctive combination of some of the finest graduate, undergraduate and research programs, accomplished faculty, world class facilities and a residential campus set on a sprawling 230 acres of sylvan surroundings. SSNCE is a home to aesthetically designed buildings with state-of-the-art computer and internet facilities, modern workshops, seminar halls, auditoriums and well stocked libraries, sports, and games fields in addition to an indoor stadium with gymnasium. SSNCE has faculty strength of 253 with a faculty student ratio of 1 faculty for every 15 students. SSNCE has been ranked 47th among all the engineering colleges in the country and 81st among all the educational institutions in the NIRF 2024 rankings under Engineering, instituted by the MHRD, Government of India. SSN College of Engineering is selected as one of the winners of the Clarivate India Research Excellence - Citation Awards 2023 (powered by Web of Science). The college has Wi-Fi connectivity, e-learning-enabled classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories with software.




ABOUT THE DEPARTNENT




The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers NBA accredited B.E. degree program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.E. degree program in Power Electronics and Drives. The Department has 28 qualified faculty members with PhD. The department is recognized as an approved research centre by Anna University for pursuing a PhD / M.S (Research) program. The department has 66 research scholars pursuing a PhD / M.S (Research) program under 24 recognized supervisors. The broad area of research includes Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Special Electrical Machines, Control & Dynamics, Renewable Energy Systems, High Voltage Engineering and Optimization techniques. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories like Advanced Power Electronics lab, Solar Energy Research Lab, High Voltage Lab and System Simulation Lab with licensed software like MATLAB, MagNet, Labview, PSpice, PSIM, PSCAD, Mipower, EMTP, etc. The department faculties have completed worth of Rs. 2.73 crores external funded projects and having ongoing projects worth of Rs. 1.69 crores funded by DST, AICTE, MNRE and NIWE, etc. Also, the department faculties have consultancy projects worth of Rs. 50.43 lakhs. The department has signed MoU with M/s. Danfoss Industries, M/s. Hibrise Technologies, etc.





SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE



The 7th International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC - 2026) is the premier interdisciplinary platform for all researchers, professionals, and engineers from all over the world. The main objectives of ICPEDC - 2026 are to discuss the latest developments and research results in all aspects of the design, modelling, application of devices, circuits and systems related to power and embedded drive control. The conference brings together academicians, manufacturers, scientists, researchers from industries and students to exchange their research results and address the recent technologies. We sincerely hope that ICPEDC - 2026 serves as a global platform for researchers, widens professional contacts and creates new opportunities, including establishing new collaborations.
